The opportunity
Project Bravo reaches the market with every critical-path development item executed: site control, interconnection, permitting, offtake, financing, and procurement. The project is now under construction, with Erthos delivering as EPC, and is offered to a buyer to own at COD.
Fully executed lease and gen-tie easement, optioned March 2022, amended through January 2025.
ERCOT SGIA with AEP Texas executed Q4 2023, amended & restated October 2024 and January 2026. $7M security posted.
Fully funded through construction, with a qualified tax-equity provider.
All major equipment procured (modules, inverters, MV) with no outstanding risks to schedule.
20-year Private Use Network PPA with Equistar Chemicals, LP (LyondellBasell), investment-grade credit with parent guarantee.
Construction-ready. All permits in hand; no outstanding conditions to start of work.
30% ITC plus 10% energy community adder. Safe harbor achieved.
20-year fixed-price O&M by Erthos Energy Services with a 100% performance guarantee.
Project specifications
The offering
Acquisition to close between mechanical completion and COD. The project transfers fully contracted, fully financed through construction, and wrapped by Erthos for 20 years of operations.
Offtake
Bravo delivers energy under a 20-year Private Use Network (PUN) PPA with Equistar Chemicals, LP, a LyondellBasell company, serving the adjacent Matagorda polymers complex behind the Conoco 138 kV substation.
The facility has been approved in ERCOT's Quarterly Stability Assessment for Q3 2026 synchronization.
Location & grid
AEP Texas · busbar settlement · 50 MWac injection rights. Gen-tie easement executed.
~2,100-acre HDPE polymers complex off TX-60 south of Bay City, the PUN offtaker's load.
Matagorda County qualifies under the IRA energy community rules. Qualification documentation in the data room.
Field-proven & resilient
ErthCompatible™ modules and key components of the Earth Mount Solar system have been designed and built with resiliency such that laying modules on the ground eliminates the wind, hail, and flood failure modes that make single-axis trackers hard to insure and finance in a hurricane-and-hail region. The result is an Erthos plant that is a fundamentally more resilient asset to own. And because a Bravo block is a design Erthos has already built and operated, bringing it to this scale is the replication of a proven system, borne out by an independent engineer and a third-party technology assessment.
Matagorda County, Texas · 80 miles southwest of Houston
With no torque tube, Earth Mount has no torsional-galloping failure mode: the instability that has damaged trackers at gusts under 60 mph and that leaves them unrated for Category 5. CPP measured no movement to the tunnel's 215 mph maximum. The site's structural code requirement is 137 mph (ASCE 7-16); the system clears it with wide margin.
Bravo doubles the standard 2.0 mm module front glass to 4.0 mm, tested to withstand lab freezer ice balls up to 85 mm, roughly equivalent to 5″ (127 mm) natural hail. Protection is static: there is no stow mode, weather alert system, or mechanical actuation to fail before a storm, which materially eases convective-storm insurability.
The independent engineer confirms no project structures sit within a FEMA special flood hazard area; no floodplain permit is required. Modules lie flat with engineered weep holes, so stormwater drains straight to the soil, with no elevated racking to dam debris or concentrate scour. Erthos wires the array with TE SOLARLOK 2.0 gel-filled connectors rated to IP68 (1 m, 1,300+ hrs), versus one hour for standard MC4 connectors.
Independently verified
Partner Engineering's independent production model came within 1% of the project's P50 estimate under review, and found the modeling inputs and assumptions reasonable.
Earth Mount Solar's energy model validated against real operating data; structural and wind reports found compliant with the IBC and ASCE 7.
The independent IE report supported an approval for non-recourse long-term debt, with permits complete and no fatal flaws identified.

New to Earth Mount Solar? Rotate, zoom, and inspect the interactive model below, the same system now being installed at Bravo, then read through the engineering Q&A.
An Erthos plant is built from repeating blocks: arrays group into islands, islands into a block, and each block feeds one 4.4 MVA power conversion system (PCS). Bravo is 14 such blocks of 550 W Imperial Star glass/glass modules on Sungrow 4.4 MVA PCS units.
